It's probably worth noting that the four most evangelical states (AL, OK, MS, AR) consistently rank near the bottom in health, education and overall quality of life, while the four least evangelical (UT, MA, RI, NH) consistently rank near the top.

Utah might sound surprising but living here, up until recently, the standard brand, and even the few flds I've known had a healthy respect for education. That's changing, however, as more and more conservative mormons embrace MAGA, and I won't be surprised when we drop quickly
