I feel like the "midlife crisis" comes from a sense of "ok, I have a home, I have kids, I'm saving for retirement, maybe I deserve a lil treat (and then sometimes that lil treat gets out of hand). Maybe people are doing that less these days

I think the dopamine hit from buying an Nvidia rack could lead to a crisis if you get on the hedonic treadmill. But probably not; it's not a status symbol in the way a Corvette is
