Probably, but Blu Ray had greater storage capacity, higher quality video and higher quality audio. I started with HD DVD, because it was already dead and the movies were dirt cheap. Almost 20 ears later, i ripped them all to my NAS and sold my HD-DVD drive for about the same amount as I bought it.
