Reminder: The US has refused to join the International Criminal Court because it argues extraterritorial justice is incompatible with national sovereignty and citizen's rights.

Vance pushes back and says this was not illegal, arguing "Maduro has multiple indictments in the United States for narcoterrorism. You don't get to avoid justice for drug trafficking in the United States because you live in a palace in Caracas."

It doesn’t count as hypocrisy, IMO, because the refusal to recognize the ICC is rooted in American Exceptionalism, which is also the basis for the illegal attack on Venezuela.

The U.S. will need to join the ICC post-regime so that we ensure all of the trumpian criminals are held accountable. Since we’re incapable of doing it ourselves. U.S. being a banana republic and all.

Nothing more then avarice laced agents of evil using the fascist playbook to sate their own lust for power. They should apologize to EVERY American veteran lying in military cemetaries for their betrayal for everything they faught and died for.
