Brexit was a referendum on whether the UK should leave the European Union. The UK has left the European Union. Referendum fulfilled. If the people bleating about "Brexit Betrayal" wanted the Referendum to enshrine their pet policy preferences, they should have included them in the question.

This is a disingenuous post, or you don't understand the issue. Before posting this, you should know the Tory Scum government of the day went beyond a mere Brexit, taking the UK out not only the EU but also the wider EEA, and other non-EU organisations too such as Euratom - not in the ref question.

... right. So if Keir Starmer were to rejoin say, Euroatom, or institute a youth mobility scheme, it would __NOT__ be a "betrayal of the referendum result" because those are far broader than the narrow question put to the public in 2016.

Populism doesn't work that way Just look at MAGA voters claiming the tariffs/ICE raids/cuts to federal services that Trump campaigned on were not the sort of Trumpism "vibes" they voted for Similarly it's all about the Brexit vibes with Leave voters
