The main reason I’m still here!

People go "I'm not good at this, I have no talent," and I'm like "DUDE, YOU'VE ONLY TRIED IT FOR A WEEK." It's so annoying.

Tenacity is a superpower.

The poet Molly Peacock agreed when she said “In a world where talent is common, persistence is synonymous with success.”

It's so true! I'm an arts person who went to art school and I quickly saw the difference really was tenacity. On the other hand I have no natural talent at cooking and baking and now I'm a pastry chef because I was stubborn and worked hard and ran face first into anything I couldn't do with that

I keep going. Even after 25 years of making comics and not gaining an audience. I keep at it.

I feel like this is super evident in music. Especially with bands. You move through the scene and see some INCREDIBLY talented people that go absolutely nowhere. They stop too soon. They don't have the drive. And then you see people that work their ass off and make it doing pretty basic stuff.
