If you're optimizing your site for AI, the AI wants: - A fast Time to First Byte (200-500ms). - Server-rendered HTML - Lightweight markup - A valid accessibility tree - Layout stability - Captions and alt text - No stupid CAPTCHAs Sound familiar? That's the same stuff that human users want too.

The accessibility tree point is the one that doesn't get enough attention. It's not just for crawlers or screen readers, it's the structured signal that survives all the styling and layout noise.

My metric for accessibility is: of I give you the HTML source of the thing, you should understand what the thing is about. If you can't understand what a thing is doing by looking at the markup, something is very wrong.

That's a clean heuristic. If the markup alone doesn't communicate structure and intent, you're either leaning too hard on presentation or hiding the semantics behind divs and classes.
