Hey Epic Games. Go f*ck yourself. I am so sick and tired of companies adding bullsh*t genAI to their products, especially given they usually have no way of opting-out. F*ck genAI, f*ck companies that try and force it onto you. (0 / I dunno). Source: www.unrealengine.com/news/the-roa... .

I am not even going to f*cking touch any ethical reasons (well, I'm about to, but you know what I mean) during this rant, because even though the ethics of genAI disqualify it already. (1 / I Dunno). The rest of this paragraph was too long so splitting here.

I had to write a like 6 page paper about the ethics of using it to write code, and my opinions are basically the same about all forms of genAI... and my paper was 8 pages long + references, so I clearly had ethical problems with it. (2 / I Dunno).

I create things for the joy of creation. The process that I take to get to a completed project is as enjoyable, or more enjoyable, than the completed project. Watching someone enjoy something that I've made, whether that be a game, some art, music, video, whatever, I feel joy as well. (3 / ?).

Using genAI to make something for me just completely ruins all enjoyment that I get out of making that thing. You can go ahead and call me old fashioned, or a tech hater... and you'd be wrong, and I won't care. Some of my motivation for doing things is because the process of doing is fun. (4 / ?).

I don't understand people who use genAI / chatbots for a lot of stuff in their life. Like do they feel accomplished after telling a computer to (gonna use videogames as an example) like make a game? What's the point in creating games and such if you aren't going to make it yourself. (5 / ?).

And even so, if someone didn't even care enough about their game to have a human put time and effort into it, then I don't f*cking care enough to spend my limited time on this earth playing something that doesn't have a soul. (6 / ?).

And I'm sick and tired of companies shoving this stuff down our throats. If I go to the internet, and either look something up or just do random stuff, I want to read things that a human being wrote. (7 / ?).

I would much rather prefer I play the game of "Is This Person Stupid Or Lying" rather than "Oh Boy, Is This F*cking Bullsh*t GenAI Slop", because at least if someone is wrong on the internet, it's still a human who's wrong, not a machine that doesn't even know how to think like a human. (8 / ?).

I can keep going on forever, but I'm gonna stop here because I am really tired and wanna sleep. I got two more posts in the chain after this, but I'm stopping myself from rambling here. Most of you should know my thoughts on genAI already, and I feel like I'm shouting into an echo chamber. (9 / ?).
