Index 01 plugin architecture is taking shape. basically you can write these little JS modules that read or write data to external connections. They're exposed to the Index agent using MCP. We'll add a plugin section on apps.repebble.com or you can sideload pbw

Plugins can offer two types of features: data sources (eg weather, traffic) and/or actions (eg Home Assistant, Spotify) Plugins can be a pipe to the service (eg send notes to Apple Notes, send reminders to Todoist) or expose capabilities to the Index agent that it can decide to use or not (ie MCP).

You can use these with Pebble watches as well - watchfaces and apps can interact with plugins as well! Very shortly watchfaces will no longer need to roll their own weather and other data sources, they can consume data from built in plugins, or 3rd party plugins

Amazing, can’t wait! I run a Shortcut using my action button, so being able to do the same from my watch would definitely bridge functionality compared to my Apple Watch

This rules, great idea! I was about to write my own phone-bound MCP server to do a similar thing (mostly just route requests to other services). Do you have a sense of when this might be released? Index01 has been a cool excuse to try out my own Hermes instance, i'm eager to query it more directly.

That release is amazing! First, the UI breaking down what happens on clicks is a lot clearer. + I love that webhook only => latency 📉 Getting good results with gemini-3.7-flash, especially with the past N turns as input to the voice transcription context.

At this point it's a really fucking magical experience to be biking back home and just saying "open up the gate" a bit ahead without stopping or having to pick up the phone while riding

smallest* Though I don't particularly care about the shape of this, I just want to have a webhook that fires as soon as the audio is available, and to throw that into my own transcribe + agent loop
