The engagement on Bluesky, with just 20K users, is quite impressive especially compared to Mastodon. I wonder why this is so. Is it because of a better UX? Or could it be that the invite-only aspect has made forming a sense of community easier?

I feel like Bluesky has a lower barrier than Mastodon. Maybe because many people there are so serious, while here it’s more laid back. This might also be because a part there is older with already stricter rules set. While here we bond quicker as we’re all new, excited of a potential better place.
