the devs do this because they dont want to get fucked over by nintendo. you should look at what happened to yuzu after they bragged about how their emulator could play totk a week before the game even launched

yeah azahar plays it insanely safe idk why theres people surprised at this, same emulator that removed built in game decrypting over the switch emu cases because if u were dumping ur games u can dump them already decrypted

on the yuzu thing tho they had it coming regardless if they bragged about totk or not, was just a matter of time until nintendo found out about them using leaked sdks n leaked roms early to improve emulation
