I believe the ONLY acceptable use of AI in writing is for editorial adjustments. Punctuation or even spelling can just slip past you while you're in a flow state and going through to check it after is fine. Editors exist are preferable but they're not always available for a variety of reasons

Strongly agree. Generative AI is a scourge. Ai as a tool for punctuation should be okay, but very far down on the list of tools needed/used for writing
