Sotalo is still using barely-a-year of talking to a now dead person to grab clout for himself. Something I never tout off-site - I had 12 years of friendly relation with Mark and helping publish his fandom contributions and we also shared private stories not to be published.

Since GSFTW's PR shill Sotalo tried arguing at me for criticizing his BIG FAT FUCKING USER behavior, which thankfully nobody saw before I blocked him: Sotalo, boy, sit down. I was furry before you were born and your using is sick. Boycott GSFTW to stop misuse of fandom platforming.

March 2025 update to this huge thread: here's more screens about how fandom groups are still learning about corruption of GSFTW and withdrawing their support. Meanwhile after GSFTW lost tons of staff, artists and GOH's, they got replaced by problematic people. More on those soon.

From yesterday, March 11: a group of longtime fans were going to make a Greymuzzles meet for GSFTW programming. After seeing Dogpatch.press news and this thread of evidence, they withdrew and are canceling registration.

Continued discussion in the same group. Names are blacked out because members warning about GSFTW don't typically get involved in conflict. That sends a message... A member says: "My god. This is just unreal."

Next, GOH's pulled out but GSFTW has been working overtime to pull in other ones with... weak standards at best... to compensate for the drain of support and registration.

I saw current discourse about the con whose founder Dashing had to "step down" (a lie) over going on the Furry Raiders podcast - so why would they pick a replacement GOH who also disappointed their audience by going on the Furry Raiders podcast?

Maybe GSFTW is that desperate to find anyone. Their GOH with his own Furry Raiders scandal is NIICdog. (I think he already appeared in this thread, but there's been more recent discourse about it.)

From 2021, this was NIIC partnering with nazifurs, then apologizing after it backfired. Notice that NIIC doesn't specify who invited him or condemn them directly. He generically talks about sticking to his beliefs. Which isn't consistent with accepting a tainted invite from GSFTW now.

Looking back, NIIC didn't apologize right away after going on the Furry Raiders podcast. His first response was a weak excuse. Like Dashing and GSFTW did about the Raiders for 4 years. It was never a hard judgement call, so why extend even more trust?

This weak sketchy quality is in common with those still running and supporting GSFTW, including the manipulative liar running their PR and suppressing all criticism inside.

Look how Sotalo uses greasy plastic charm with NIIC. This is crony clique stuff, schmoozing up to suppress criticism while dismissing public interest.

Here's the next problematic GOH of GSFTW, Max DeGroot/MaxGoof/DipperDraper/Stargazer Borealis. He is producing the GSFTW guest announcements they're pushing to compensate for draining support. en.wikifur.com/wiki/Max_Goof

Check out this Image of Deep Thoughts off MaxGoof's FurAffinity page. Don't be drinking milk if you don't want it coming out your nose. This was shared with a claim that MaxGoof lost favor with Ohio con runners for transphobia.

The feedback comments are secondhand scuttlebutt, but look at MaxGoof's own words. He's not beating the allegations.

GSFTW has a habit of staffing people other cons don't want. Why waste money on this now? Especially when multiple other events were started by the New Jersey community to take it back from interlopers with bad agendas. Pick better: @furgeddaboutit.org @psfurmeets.bsky.social
