Garden State Fur the Weekend is currently hosting the Furry Raider pictured above, and Peter/Arcticwindsphoto/Flynn, who was featured by Fox News at the con. GSFTW allowed Fox News to come use the con as their platform to have Peter tell the world: "Go Trump".

Today Peter, other Furry Raiders, and previously banned members are a focus of complaints in the GSFTW chat. Peter tells protesters: "you are guests in our house."

GSFTW admins chime in with the Furry Raiders claiming the con to be their house. GSFTW admins tell other users to take "personal beefs" elsewhere. When nazifurs use the con as their platform, the con expects you to be sweet and silent. GSFTW is complicit.

Thanks Zero for speaking up as one of the local furries who know something is very wrong with GSFTW: dogpatch.press/2024/10/21/g... bsky.app/profile/zero...

I'm so exhausted from this entire ordeal. Shy has seemingly doubled down on his alliance with the fash furs, despite everyone telling him to stop. I can only assume he's supportive. The worst part is seeing the local community put blinders on to it all, instead of holding folks accountable. Sigh =/

When GSFTW repeatedly favored nazifurs with less than zero tolerance, you simply can't trust them. Not even if they remove nazis again... After letting them back as if that was ok! You can't reform leadership that's rotten at the top. They already showed you what two-faced double-dealers they are.

Beyond GSFTW's social mismanagement, here's another basic problem: you can't trust them with your money, either. bsky.app/profile/boxo...

Note: Garden State Fur the Weekend, Inc's refund policy is 60 days *from the date that the customer pre-registered*. After 60 days they will not issue a refund, even if it's still months out from the event itself.

Hi GSFTW management: I know you're watching and trying to spin things your way, after repeatedly failing to rein in the consequences of mismanagement. Reminder that you had many chances to directly respond, with publication deadline extensions, and blew them as well as reneging on statements made.

For readers who may find it challenging to parse all the background: Use your head, read between the lines when GSFTW plays innocent, and don't let yourself be made a chump by double-dealers acting like they didn't already get their side with many chances to do better. t.me/communityorganizing

GSFTW articles at dogpatch.press speak to: - staff who quit - staff who stuck by the con, then realized they were being lied to and quit - community members speaking out - years of background - A week's work to phone sources and trace/link evidence, corp records, high effort to get response from con

Some of the most interesting info came from people who don't talk to each other. If you see GSFTW try to spin community criticism as somehow grudge-based, you're seeing deflection.

WITNESS REPORT: @tansy.bsky.social went to GSFTW expecting a safe space, not to be approached by Fox News with "sexually and politically charged questions". GSFTW failed to protect attendees from hostile media without press passes. GSFTW's head of PR wasn't told, reported being lied to by board.

This isn't the only witness about being mistreated by Fox News at GSFTW. Other reports have come forward about Fox News filming suiters with heads off, and featuring their furry con stage show front and center on national TV without consent or knowledge.

Wanna see some ripe corruption? When Fox News went to GSFTW and made attendees feel violated... (with suspicious board awareness but PR dept kept in the dark)... They featured Peter/Flynn/Arcticwindsphoto praising Trump. He went on Kiwifarms to brag about it. Today, he wants to be GSFTW staff.

Now Kiwifarms has direct posting by a GSFTW media volunteer, who helped Fox News make GSFTW attendees feel invaded and targeted. He did volunteer media work at last con, wants to be AV staff now, and is welcome by GSFTW admins in their chat.

Really makes ya wonder, who invited Fox News in the first place to a small, regional, first-year furry con, and got the board to look the other way while the PR dept was in the dark.

This Kiwifarms-MAGA troll is the same person who told other GSFTW members they were guests in his house. GSFTW is aggressively shielding him under "no politics uwu". bsky.app/profile/dogp...

Dashing Fox, the Furry Raiders podcast guest who "stepped down" then became owner of GSFTW, also owns their official chat group. Here's Dashing enforcing "no politics", with ass kissing from Furry Raiders and the Kiwifarms-Fox News-MAGA troll.

On Xitter, I got reminded about the Furry Raider whose ban from GSFTW was lifted recently, Chris "Astral" Curtis, who chimed in to kiss ass to Dashing in the above screen. Astral trolled Anthrocon with hate symbols in their fursuit parade that forced AC to make new policy to prevent recurrence.

2 days ago as this story was starting to smoulder, the official announcements channel for GSFTW posted disgust about mismanagement. The channel was then deleted, removing records of past statements they didn't live up to, and the con owners announced "this is are(sic) new channel".
