Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced PS5 Does it play offline? No Does it require a download? Yes 44.48GB on disc. Works up until the company logos, then requires an online connection to access the main menu. The type of release that undermines physical media over time.

Genuinely what is the point? Like from their perspective, what is the point of putting *that* much of the game on the disc, but not the whole thing? If it's not enough to actually play the game, why both with that much of it, might as well just make it damn near empty at that point.

I don't doubt that, but at that point, why put over 40GB on it? Why not just put the bare minimum? The disc for Doom The Dark Ages on PS5 supposedly has less than 100 MB on it. That's what I'm confused by, I don't see the point in it having a substantial amount of data, but not the whole thing

Oh I read it wrong maybe? I initially interpreted this as "you cannot play this game if you have no internet, even if it's already installed and downloaded." Maybe this means if you are without internet you couldn't get the complete game?
