More than just simply wanting to see what they did with Blade, I just want them to survive, and by extension I want studios to be shielded from the poor decisions and greed of publishers, executives, and private equity.

Let me share some positive news for a change: Despite all the gloomy headlines today, my understanding is that there are multiple paths actively being explored that would save Arkane Lyon. Anything can happen during negotiations, but at this point I'd be surprised if the studio is shut down.

Also, gamers have a lot of blame to shoulder for the climate as well. If you look at the comments or subreddits for any news about a studio closing, you'll always find more than one amateur financial analyst willing to carry water for a publisher because of "low sales".
