Last night at the SID & NANCY/REPO MAN double I was sitting a row ahead of a gaggle of generic white guys whose affectless non-regional voices were at top volume so everyone could hear their vapid conversation. One guy said he left Spotify for Tidal because Tidal markets to metalheads.

Another guy asked this "metalhead" (imagine: incredibly unremarkable white guy who works in a creative office) if he likes Anthrax and he says he doesn't like "that thrash stuff." Then they talked about not going to Hot Topic anymore.

Naturally, ton of this these vacuous loudmouth dopes at every rep show; can never quite settle on whether they’ve organically become genuinely ignorant of their surroundings when it comes to the naked entitlement of their speaking volume or it’s actually odd performative by-product of self-obsession
