Voter roll purges are necessary to remove people who have passed away, moved or otherwise become ineligible to vote. But sometimes purges can erroneously include thousands of eligible voters. As the Trump administration ramps up its attacks on voting, it’s time to check your registration status:

And no matter what Trump and the GOP say those errors do not lead to voter fraud for no one is going to a polling station to pretend to be a dead or moved voter just to get one vote. And how would they even know? It is like the GOP have thought about trying it. Projection, so to say.

Why exactly are the purges so necessary? Dead people or people who’ve moved away, don’t vote. Right? Isn’t the potential harm of - not even willfully but accidentally - removing thousands of eligible people from the rolls much bigger than any odd dead names?
