BREAKING: In a huge win for voters across the country, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 to uphold grace periods for mail ballots. States CAN count ballots postmarked by Election Day but received after Election Day.

The decision helps protect hundreds of thousands of voters across 14 states and D.C. who rely on mail voting. In 2024, nearly 1 in 3 Americans voted by mail in the 2024 general election, accounting for more than 48 million votes. Full story to come.

The ruling will undoubtedly draw the ire of Trump, who blamed mail-in voting for his 2020 presidential campaign loss and attempted to ban states from counting ballots that arrive after Election Day. Full story:
