As a resident of a state and city under assault by the Trump administration, I feel this is massively underreported. Trump’s goons are trying to strip all of our scientific institutions, and are pressing to destroy our efficient and robust voting system. It has to stop.

I know it's too late to tell the Democrat rebuttal crew to stop begging "regretful trumpers" to "come over to the other side." You can open the door, but addicts and cultists have to choose to walk out of it. Don't bother begging: they need to SEEK redemption. You can't do it for them.

Why not say that we will not quietly accept unchecked power or watch our system be twisted beyond recognition. The Constitution is not optional, and no office is above it. If Congress and the courts refuse to act, the American people WILL REMEMBER. The era of silent compliance is over.
