it's actually quite a bit sad that i'm one of the few atproto developers that's openly against generative AI when the company is pushing for stuff like this as part of their main experience do people really just want to type text in an input field instead of learn how to do stuff?

what? it's literally a conversational UI that uses LLMs to generate a feed, they're calling it Agentic too an index on steroids is skyfeed.app

So what? It find and sorts posts per the user's desire. It doesn't generate content. For ages we have chronological and alphabetical indices. This one is more versatile. Now an ordinary user does not have to wait till a dev makes a feed they want. I think it's great.

they already didn't have to wait by using one of the 3 tools I suggested in the first post they shouldn't have to use a LLM to generate a feed for them, bluesky could have easily just backed up one of the existing tools or even welcoming them as official tools instead of doing an AI agent for it

I am sure my mother could not use any of those tools, but she could use the natural language interface. That's why I think it is great. It puts power in the hands of ordinary people.
