The Senate does not impeach. Only the House can do that. If somebody is impeached, the Senate conducts a trial to determine whether to remove them from office. Schumer voted twice to remove Trump from the Presidency.

As someone who cannot just leave DC, I have been thinking about these folks--and the fact that when the nukes fly, he and all the others sending out posts from wherever they go when they are not in DC will die in prettier places than the rest of us. In fact, that appears to be their chief goal.

There is, but the biggest thing right now is to make sure Republicans lose their Senate races this fall. It doesn't matter if we think Schumer is a loser or not: Dems in the Senate don't have any cards to play until then, and no one else wants his job until they do.
