Damn right it’s 8am and we’re putting on Fellowship of the Ring.

Fellowship continues to be wonderful. Quite incredible how much they fit into this one film – so much happens! Only thing that’s aged poorly is the very noughties digital colour grading, which makes everyone look weirdly peachy at times.

And “Wait Mr Frodo I’m coming with you!” *promptly drowns* is still hilarious.

Did you go for extended or regular version?

Regular! The boy’s first time, and I have to be realistic with his attention span.

The Prince Charles Cinema do an overnight marathon screening of all three extended versions. Now that's a challenge.
