ICE spent $2.5 billion buying detention facilities without calculating what they’ll cost to operate after 3 years. It spent nearly $3 million on unused tents at Guantanamo Bay and another $20 million on administrative costs for warehouses it’s now mostly selling. The GAO has a word for this: waste.

$18,000 toilets is nothing by comparison! And those $60 dollar bolts were totally worth it! (The bolts, definitely. There are place where cheap bolts are deadly)
