This is exactly the kind of work the Catholic Church should be doing. Glad they’re stepping up. 🙏🏽 Archdiocese of Los Angeles launches program to help families impacted by immigration raids. The raids have made immigrants worried to leave their homes.

Now.. I wonder if we can also get them to address the other elephant in the room. I'm not trying to diminish the importance of one issue o the other; both are problems that need to be fixing, and if they can do one, they must be able to deal with the other and simply choose not to.

If the money is going to help people this admin is vilifying and terrorizing, I have no issue donating. The largest flea/farmers market has been shutdown in Vegas because of fears of ICE. Those families have lost their income, Christian thing to do is help them. I hope the church starts that here.

"If..." that's the point, the Catholic church has its hand out, if you watch the entire video. It certainly took them long enough to do something, people should be asking why. Other orgs are doing a lot to help, donate to them. I'm well aware of the "Christian thing to do" the Catholic church isn't.

This activism by the Catholic church in LA may not only benefit this community directly, but once others see the church step up, it may motivate people in other communities & states to do the same. There are thousands of people across the country trying to help in any way. The word must be spread.

Seeing this from Canada and watching the video was like watching outreach programs in third world countries, with puppet governments and corruption. 40 years I’ve watched the news and never seen this in the US. But what they are doing gives me hope , hope for the people.. much peace and love ❤️ ✌️🇨🇦

My God, when I read that, it hit me, you're SO RIGHT! That is exactly what it felt like, but I am not feeling hopeful for the US, sadly. They can't undo this generational damage being done within the US. It will be years to recover. I hope you get to vote for the midterms, but I'm doubting it, tbh.

Me too! I’ve been working for years to save our Democracy from the GOP Fascist takeover. They have never been for the middle class or poor. Their gaslighting & manipulations have made our Government out of balance for years. You can’t have a healthy government when one party out of two is corrupt.
