In LA, we have the right to film law enforcement in public spaces, as long as we do not interfere. Arturo Hermosillo says he was arrested for doing exactly that. He was in his van when he saw an older woman, a local tamale vendor, lying on the ground during an immigration raid & started recording.

Check this from January. It’s been implemented since. ICE uniforms all match including shoes. They NEVER wear t-shirts, jeans, khakis or sneakers. The gear they have on is easy to purchase online. And whether it’s ICE or a kidnapper serial killer, odds are, you’re not coming home. Truly terrifying.

I've stopped believing they're "law enforcement". I believe they're private security contractors hired to pose as ICE agents. Just like certain mercenaries have been hired by the military to "stand in" for soldiers when the assignments are too dirty and illegal.

No federal prosecutor will brings these cases to court. Not only is it a waste of their time, they know these cases won't stand in court and will only be thrown out. I agree-or paid bounty hunters. We must press our community leaders (mayors, reps) to follow the example of Huntington Park, CA and demand that ICE "reps" self-identify during operations. We need to go further, though, and demand FULL IDENTITY on display, as in full name and "employer" on the chest.

I noticed these signs at what used to be, for decades, one of the more popular by hand car washes in Weschester (LA, Calif) until hit on two consecutive days by ICE & forced to close bc employees either detained (for removal) or afraid to work.
