Why not plug it into a power strip?

Space heaters draw a lot of power. Most power strips are not designed to handle the amount of power a space heater needs. Power strips can get overloaded, meltdown, and cause a fire. Always best to plug your space heater directly into the wall.

I live in a very warm climate and did not know this. Thanks, coolest government agency. My husband wants to move back to his northern midwest hometown soon but I have almost no cold climate safety knowledge.
