Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe Musical Romance "Castlevania Awakening in the Moonlight" (2025) Really fun twist on Symphony of the Night, the costuming especially was fantastic. The vod is available until the end of March for anyone interested

Akumajou Dracula (1986) Watching that musical got me wanting to replay most of the classicvanias as well as sotn This is still a perfect little bite-sized action game, the definition of "tough but fair"

The Guns of Navarone (1961) This was really, really fun, some peak Men On a Mission media, basically everything a war adventure movie should be. Definitely give it a watch if you enjoy seeing large amounts of nazis die!

The Human Condition I: No Greater Love (1959) Phenomenal. Utterly phenomenal. It's difficult to put into words how good this is. Tatsuya Nakadai really is maybe the best actor to have ever lived.

Under Diana - ILL WICKER (2014) Kinda floored me. Turns out I love acid folk - who knew?

The Sign of the Cross (1932) The horniest christian movie ever made, Pre-Code movies were fucking wild, huh.

Evil Dead 2 (1987) First time rewatching in many, many years Might be my favourite movie? The perfect horror comedy, at any rate.

The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies (1964) Kind of a snooze-fest but also incredibly endearing. It doesn't live up to its title but really what could?

Star Wars Episode 1 (1999) First time rewatching since I was 9 or so. Incredibly unhinged movie. Taxation, trade disputes, and political corruption sit alongside poop jokes and slapstick, propped up by incredible production design and an unbelievably good score. Kinda liked it!

Star Wars Episode 2 (2002) I didn't dislike this! I thought Obi-Wan's noir adventure was delightful and while the dialogue, as a whole, sucks (even if people rag on the sand scene too much), I didn't find the plot as incomprehensible as everyone else seems to. One of John Williams' best scores.

Star Wars Episode 3 (2005) No faint praise for this one. It just fucking rules lol. Truly mythic film making, a genuine epic. There's this intense tragic fatalism that underpins (and then overpins) the whole thing from frame one and it's soooooo good. John Williams good etc.
