An author friend who is a "turn your smart phone into a dumb phone and avoid the news" kinda guy just sent me his latest newsletter article to beta read, and quoted Musk from the Tesla days (plus throwback Thiel!!). I was like, um buddy you may not want to do that. Him: why, what happened?

IMHO we need hard caps on income and wealth. I think at this point we've got more than enough evidence that cash past a certain point really does seem to provide a kind of access to insulation and reinforcement that isn't healthy, and predispose people to going some combination of crazy &/or evil.
