Even the butterflies are leaving….

Butterflies are my passion, taking thousands of photographs of them on our acreage every year. I love them like family. So sad 😞

The butterfly does not mourn the wind, nor does the river resist the shore. But when the land forgets the flight of wings, something silent in the world unravels. #TheVanishing #Bluesky

I think it's the algorithm. Butterflies are pretty gay.

Please help make this go viral! We have to step up our game because our representatives are clearly not going to save us from this fast moving coup! The only thing we really can do that's nonviolent is slow production. Cost them money. Don't get fired. Don't hurt anyone. But do more where youcan

The world is entering a downswing of history.  I'm not ashamed to shill my dad's book that covers electricity,  ammo, water, food,  health, and sustainability. These topics are covered in ways that other books do not. Especially making, storing and using electricity. www.amazon.com/s?k=teotwawk...

It makes me so sad. And now with environmental cuts they will have no help surviving if Trump’s wish of DRILL BABY DRILL.

Butterflies must be kept alive like WHOLE HEAVENLY AMERICAN NATURE!! STOP COAL BURNING, FOSSIL OIL AND NUCLEAR PLANTS, INVEST IN AND CHOOSE NATURE FRIENDLY ALTERNATIVES LIKE SOLAR PANELS AND WIND ENERGY AND INVENT 'MUCH MORE' THINK ON 'THIS' NOT ON EASY WAYS TO KILL NATURE AND HUMANITY!!

I used to gather and raise Monarch caterpillars to keep safe from predators and release. I haven’t seen a butterfly, caterpillar or egg in three years now.

There was a study in Germany started in the 80ies for 27 years in nature protection areas. The decline of flying insects was up to 82% in summertime... We are knowingly f*ing nature for decades and soon we will be f*ed. journals.plos.org/plosone/arti...

I knew that 10 years ago

America couldn’t be more fucked if were named Lily Philips.

Similarly with dragonflies, they were so abundant when I was younger, you'd see them nearly every day around here ... now rarely. Natural flying insect control.

😭

Must be part of DOGE. Because climate change doesn’t exist, right?

My wife's love of whiffle ball batting practice is preventing me from trying to save more of them.

😢😢😢😢 some are even becoming instinct! That’s according to National Geographic.

Heartbroken

And this is why I planted my native pollinator garden, specifically for Monarchs. It’s beautiful when the 20 or more Monarchs show up fluttering about and bees are buzzing around.🪻🌻

Canadians have made a real effort to grow more milkweed. It’s helping but it will take a huge effort

😥🤬😥🤬

Absofuckenlutely !

So sad

Canary in the coal mine.

PAY ATTENTION, WORLD !

USA destroys everything. So sad.

For the rest of my life I will never forget the ignorance of republicans that voted for Voldetrump a poswt.

Are they DEI?

This is really concerning. Butterflies are not just beautiful; they play a crucial role in our ecosystems. We need to advocate for practices that protect their habitats and reduce chemical use. Every little action counts in reversing this trend!

Maybe invading Canada and redrawing the border will solve your problem. #angrycanadian

MAGAs don't care about it

Canada would give you more butterflies but pause button Tramp put a tariff on them too. Canada was ripping off the US butterflies like never seen before. So tariffs are going on butterfly for butterfly. Tariffs start April 1...no 2nd I like that day better. No wait, how's tomorrow
