The right wing populists took over the Republican party and left the "silk stocking" Republicans with no where to go politically. But as of November 2022, there were 53 distinct political parties with ballot access in the US. There are other choices out there.

He is about a year too late on the criticism. He should have started as soon as donnie chump said he was going to run again. Advise GOP voters to vote different than what they ended up doing.

Why “but” for the conjunction used and not “and”? I don’t see why the 2nd statement in any way contradicts the 1st; it’s more like just two accurate statements that should be joined by an and.

I think McConnell is a sort of Hindenburg to Trump's Hitler. He wrings his hands but he is complicit with the rest of the republicans. What does that make Mitt? Ernst Rohm, I guess. Rohm was a potential rival to Hitler. He was eliminated in 1934 a yr after Hitler took power.
