nabbing a 48 GB Phantom Menace remux with Atmos just to watch 15 minutes of podracing at a volume level just under what I think my neighbors next door might be able to hear right before midnight. this is the good that Galactic Racer will bring into your home

So the pod racing in Galactic Racer sounds anemic right? Compared to what the movie presents?

I think so. Most of the podracers in the movie seem to have a signature sound, e.g. the throbbing of Sebulba's craft. I'm not sure I get the same sense of intensity in GR but about to load it up for a fresh take.

yeah... unfortunately the game's audio presentation leaves a lot to be desired compared to the podracing scene in Ep. 1. I wonder if it's deliberate to avoid fatiguing the ears. Maybe hours of real beefy engine sounds would be too much?
