Another key thing: Gabbard has *no* South Asian ancestry. Nobody in her family does! They’re all just members of this cult & fetishize their version of Hinduism. She regularly blurs this line and lets people misinterpret her first name to imply that she’s a member of our communities, but she is not.

I have family in India that was totally surprised that she’s not Indian. Indian media coverage is doing an amazingly good job of perfectly conflating “Hindu” and “Indian.”
