Cult of the Lamb is like Stardew meets Isaac. My faves this year are Saros, Hades 2, Absolum, Denshattack, Pathologic, Orbital Bullet, & BlazBlue Entropy Effect X. Hall of Fame: Astral Ascent, Returnal, Hades, Inscryption, Have a Nice Death.

I fell like you MUST have played Blue Prince, but if not, you should play Blue Prince. (Caution, it may eat your life for a few weeks.) Otherwise, Book of Hours is a cosy, Chthonic librarian game. (Impeccable vibes, but the tutorial is terrible; I always recommend reading the basics online.)

If both of those fail, I really enjoyed Terra Nil, which is a relatively short, incredibly chill game about terraforming polluted environments back to full biodiversity.

Okay I've never heard of any of these and they sound great. Except Blue Prince, which was gifted to me and I haven't played. This is a pretty strong sign that I should boot it up 😅

I spent the first five minutes wondering what the big deal was about Blue Prince. Then I blinked and like three weeks had passed, haha. The way I WISH I had played it: Keep a journal next to you for clues, don't look anything up online, and give yourself permission to fail often and take your time.

Oh everyone is playing dressmaker...... that's tempting. I haven't tried Fields of Mistria yet! I should go see if that video scratches the itch I have.
