Green Hairstreak has also declined in south Dorset (UK), for reasons that are not clear. The Brown Argus (Aricia agestis), which shares the same foodplant, is doing OK, which suggests a climate change impact. we have been getting hotter summers. Is that also likely in Catalonia?

In Catalonia, the mean elevation of its distribution has increased significantly in recent decades, suggesting a role for climate change. Vegetation encroachment may also be contributing to its decline, given its preference for open habitats.
