In addition to Caltrain (already electric), Brightline West, and the Central Valley segment of California High Speed Rail (under construction), the SRP calls for electrification of Metrolink's highest ridership lines and Capitol Corridor north of Oakland. #ElectrifyMetrolink

For freight electrifiers: the SRP calls for overhead electrification of some highly active freight lines with passenger service, notably the BNSF Southern Transcon from LA-Riverside. If agencies lead, could encourage freight electrification in some of the country's most polluted rail corridors.

By 2050, the SRP calls for 15 minute or less frequencies on much of Capitol Corridor, Metrolink, and Surfliner - but electrification is missing from, among others, the Surfliner south of Anaheim, the nation's 2nd highest ridership rail line. Let's keep up the pressure to fight for catenary here!

CapCor should be electric all the way. Dumb to stop at the Coliseum. I mean, we're dreaming big here - there's a second bay crossing! I guess good service to San Jose is impossible to even dream about.
