The gothic orchard got another variety today. Now we have : 6x Arkansas Black Apple 6x Wolf River 6x Monty's Surprise And now 6x Russet Razor I have space for 6 more trees this fall. What goth-as-fuck apple variety am I missing? #apples #orchard #pomme #cider #gothicfarmer

My two top contenders: Pendragon - a red flesh variety Akane - to represent the weebiness inherent in the gothic culture.

Really was considering it, but the genetics work against me. AB is a sterile triploid, WR is a below average pollenator, and MS and RR both wild cards (young varieties without solid pollenation data) so adding Graves, which are a sterile triploid as well, would be less than optimal.

And I really wish I could go with just the cool names. There is a bloody butcher apple which I would love to have too but it doesnt fit the plan and also I would have to have scionwood shipped from the UK which is its own headache.

Yeah, I have to keep all the "real orchardist" stuff in mind and cant just go with cool names. But with literally tens of thousands of apple varieties out there I was hoping maybe someone knew one I didnt.
