I'm running a Katamari Damacy rally at @avcon.org.au next weekend! This one's been a real labour of love and I can't wait to get it rolling at the con!

I spent WAY too long on the rally website for this one and even now it's not perfect but I'm happy with the little rolling ball. Please check it out for links to each of the participating artists!!! ale.chenonetta.com/rallies/2026...

ahhh the little rolling ball is so darling, that's such great work!

I got to learn (ie, copy/paste) Three.js for this! I couldn’t work out how to nicely colour the nodes so it’s two separate intersecting models. If it works it works.

hehehe it definitely works! threes.js is so fun, i haven’t tried 3d in it but maybe that would be a nice thing to try.

I wasn’t previously aware of it but it came up when I googled for displaying 3D models so I just assumed it was a 3D focused lib from the name! I guess I’ll have to find reasons to poke around in it a bit more.

Ooh nope I got threes.js mixed up with p5.js, which is like Processing, more of a 2d drawing/rendering tool which I played with in uni. caitelatte.com/fiddles/p5js...

That is sooooo cool maybe my next stream overlay will find use from this 👀
