The EU is going to vote in October about a law that will obligate all providers of any communication on the internet (including e.g. email providers, bluesky, mastodon, EVERYONE) to scan all messages for pictures of child abuse. Consequence:

Consequence will be that it won't be possible anymore to exchange encrypted messages on the internet. So it won't be possible for business to exchange messages containing trade secrets. It won't be possible for you to share private pics with your family without them getting scanned. ...
