Miguel David, Engineering Manager at Buffer, had 200 unread articles and no time to read or write about them. Until: he vibe-coded a macOS app that summarizes 10 at a time and queues them using the Buffer API! 🧵

The result is Reader Chomper, a small Mac app that connects three tools he was already using. Readwise stores his reading list, an LLM summarizes each article in 100 words and three bullets, and Buffer queues his posts to LinkedIn and Bluesky.

The feature that took him longest is also the simplest! The app serves up 10 articles at a time, so every session ends. Getting that right, he says, "took longer than any of the actual code did."

Most articles never make it past the three bullets. The few that do become drafts in his queue, waiting for his take. One line from Miguel's piece stuck with us: "I read more thoughtfully now because I know I have a place to put my opinions." 💙
