The Sega 32X may be the worst console add-on of all time. But does it have any redeeming qualities? #Sega #32X #RetroGaming #Gaming

A lot of what was released on the Sega 32X was both fun and innovative in their 1990s context. It's easy to lose sight of this with the first wave of 3D games because they have subsequently been so refined over the next 30 years. It takes some memory and imagination to go "Woah! Star Wars Arcade!"

I feel you, I was around then and would have loved to have had it when first released. I did play Star Wars arcade back then at a friend’s house and was not impressed, but I also wasn’t a fan of early 3d back then. (Even Star Fox, which I’ve come to love) I think the hardware is interesting. (Break)

I read that one of the criticisms of the Star Wars holiday special was disbelief in the premise of Wookie kids hyped up on virtual reality Star Wars games. In these terms, going from Atari pixels to an immersive 3D Death Star raid is quite a tech leap. The actual arcade machine was quite immersive.
