The whole optical platform is going to be a riser above the stage, so I wanted something stiff and with low coefficient of thermal expansion. A big slab of CF ticked the boxes and wasn't too expensive :)

Kinda yes. Cubesat hit a potential snag so I'm working on a "short" intermediate project (litho) until that resolves 🙂
