New hinge iteration! This one is a bit longer but half as tall (which is important to the application). Happier with this design, although it needs some alterations too. Does not include a latch either, but I think a separate latching mechanism is better anyway.

Different project, because I'm terribly ADHD sometimes 😅 But I'll probably incorporate some of these back into the bird since it needs some spring return mechanisms anyway

Hinge is made of three components, plus a shoulder bolt and a regular bolt. Ball bearings ride on the shoulder bolt and inner/outer halves. Bearings are 1/32" (0.79mm). So small! 🥺
