bit.lyMichigan families deserve more educational options | OpinionWhen people hear about the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, many probably assume it is mainly about helping families send their children to private schools. Certainly, some Michigan families will use scholarships that way, and for parents who believe a Catholic, Jewish or another nonpublic school is the right place for their child, help with tuition could make a tremendous difference. But that is only part of what this program could mean for Michigan, because it can also provide educational help to children who remain right where they are today, in their local public schools.
