Anyone ever used OneDev? I’m going to do a test install as part of shopping for a self hosted gitforge. @commonscomputer.com hosts a @tangled.org knot & spindle on a nix box, and a Gitea install on Cloudron. I’m researching a proxmox stack for self hosted infra, including migrating off Cloudron.

OneDev is an all in one gitforge plus a ton of other features. It’s open source on GitHub and the community edition is self hostable and includes SSO.

I have and I really really liked it. I don’t run it anymore mostly because I just don’t need it. Does way more than I actually needed.

Thanks for the feedback! I found it and realized I was recreating a bunch of what it did. I’m running it for groups of people, so it feels about right sized.

Sounds like a great use case then. It was a few years ago I gave it a real try, but it was ridiculously easy to setup and very very snappy.

And by researching, I mean I have an entire bare metal OVH box with proxmox, Ansible for repeated deployment, Garage for S3, AIP for atproto OIDC etc etc
