Can we get the word around for more donations to go to BlackSky so there’s funding for the infrastructure that can bring Link back? From my understanding: Relays are costly and expensive. Anyone feel free to chime in. Bluesky relays is what has him banned. opencollective.com/blacksky

Wait BlackSky is still part of BlueSky's relay? That would make sense how I was having issues posting when BlueSky was down a few weeks back...

From my understanding yeah. Relays are expensive. Based on convos I saw Cc @botmatrix.myatproto.social who been in most convos. Same with @lizthegrey.com

a few hundred dollars a month at most for a relay. within reach of a group of tens of people, not within reach for individuals.

Relays are cheap, appviews a bit more. Basically everything is cheap except an app that indexes & searches everything ever posted. For $30 you could get a multi day window of everything.

Even that latter thing is just begging for "save it to S3 somewhere, charge to search it on demand"
