2 hours recapping an N64 then trying to figure out what I screwed up because it stopped working… Reseated caps, checked continuity, decided I have no business doing this and WTF was I even thinking trying to do it… Then I cleaned the jumper pak with ISO… 🤦‍♂️

When I was recapping an n64 I also thought I had broken it. But I was testing it without anything on the place of the jumper pack🤪

Are these all victims of the great Capacitor Plague years? I had to recap a couple of Bell satellite receivers from that era.

N64 usually don’t even need a recap. They predate the plague. Still I like to do it so I know they are good for a few more decades.
