It's enlightened self-interest: if there are no parks, then no one will need name-brand outdoor gear. I dig Johan Eliasch. He's one of those quiet billionaires, who could have skated by doing nothing and no would have noticed. But no, he buys 400,000 acres of rainforest to protect it.
