Was he making a general statement, or one limited to the deportation case? As a general matter, I think it would depend on why you didn't like the judge's decisions. For example, if it was because they were corrupt or incompetent, then impeachment could be perfectly appropriate.

It is when the rulings themselves are so egregious that it constitutes impropriety on the judge.

At that point, what is the point of a legislative body? If judges have no authority, why obey law? If 1 person stands above law, the law stands for only 1 person.

It's such a bummer when you decide that somebody is no longer bound by laws, and then that somebody goes and does something 'improper.' Can I borrow somebody's pearls to clutch?
