According to family legends, the Viking boats stopped there since Ireland had the best whiskey. Archeological evidence from battle sites across the world have shown there were more than a few Irish in the Viking ships sailing from southern Norway and Denmark.

Oh no! Maybe I’m really Norwegian, not Irish, which would be fine since my husband was half Norwegian (Munson) and we spent many Friday nights at the Sons of Norway Lodge enjoying their famous all-you can eat fish boils.

The Norse Vikings founded Dublin. Since my father’s family originated from there, I probably have Norwegian DNA! I visited a museum when I was there and saw exhibits about the Viking settlements. 🇳🇴 🇮🇪
